#1: Edgy Long Hair
This edgy long hair can be pretty versatile. It features soft and stunning long locks with that rocker chic edge.
Before cutting hair like this, follow the head shape right above the parietal ridge. This will help the hair lay better on that far part flip.
Changing the part in the opposite side or middle will completely cover the shaved side. Do this if you’re wanting to style a little more conservatively.
Thick full hair is fabulous forms look like this because it’s a lot easier to hide the side shave if desired.
Blowing the hair out with at least a medium hold mousse/ foam, will really help keep more control of the style. Try Kenra thickening mousse or Redken Guts.
Be prepared though for slow regrowth process!! It will be an entire year to get about 6 inches of growth.
#2: Long with a Fade Haircut
Hair that is long with a fade haircut on the side is very edgy. If you are looking for a creative haircut, consider undercutting one side of your hair. Remember that the shorter length will require more maintenance than the longer side so talk to your stylist to see if this would be a good option for you.

How would you describe this?
This long hair with shaved sides for women gives you something edgy at the same time. It’s not too crazy, but it’s super interesting! Don’t you love side shaves? It’s a modern style and an amazing way to express yourself!
What’s your best advice?
If you’re thinking a lot about doing something like this, but you’re not sure, you should just go for it! It’s a wonderful feeling, and you feel so much adrenaline the first time you shave it! It’s super fun!
Don’t worry too much about what you will do when you want to grow it out. You can just put your hair to the other side, and it’s like you don’t even have the side shave. You can also do fun hairstyles like low ponytails or braids to cover the shaved part.
In terms of hairstyles to embrace the shaved hair, it’s super fun to do a high ponytail with lots of volume in the hair, boxer braids, or just wear it loose!
You can also do just a bottom side shave, shave the two sides of your head, only the back, or all of it! Just do it! Don’t be afraid. It’s so much easier than you think. And don’t forget, it’s hair, it grows again!
#4: Naturally Long Hair with Shaved Sides
When it comes to long hair, shaved sides create a very bold and unapologetic hairstyle. Women wearing it are letting you know they are confident, strong, and courageous. It’s high maintenance if a woman decides to keep it as short as shown in the picture, but it also has low maintenance and soft growth when you use the appropriate products. These are a medium hold molding wax like Amika’s Heist and a styling lotion like Amika’s Velveteen to keep your hair frizz-free and silky smooth. You should also consider a Denman brush.
Blow the short side into place first, following the grain and keeping the airflow flat to the hair to avoid flyaways and closing the cuticle. The rest of the hair is up to you whether you want to wear it wavy or straight.

Half shaved long blonde hair proves one thing— an undercut isn’t only for short hair. A lady can go from edgy to girlish with this chop. Style the locks with waves to highlight the blonde hue and give them a much feminine finish. For thick tresses, an undercut is one of the bests to go for. It lessens the bulkiness of the hair.

#12: Long Hair One Side Shaved
It’s a “Rebel Soul Rapunzel” because of the combination of ultra-femme romantic length and a whisper of anarchy of the buzzed side. If you’re interested in long hairstyles with shaved sides, don’t hesitate to have a good 20+ minute consultation with your stylist/barber to evaluate your hair type and daily styling routine. That way, they can customize the buzz’s location, length, and width to fit your lifestyle needs. This may mean paying a full haircut price for the amount of time spent in their chair, but it ensures an outcome you won’t regret.
#13: Shaved Sides and Back with Ponytail
This long haircut with buzzed sides is bold. If you want to shave the sides, do it! If your hair is super thin, then shaved sides on long hair are very easy to accommodate from side to side. If yours is very thick, it may be more difficult to manipulate.
